working on a sunday

well it’s 6:23 on a sunday evening and i am at the beginning of a 5 hour shift at the lab. as  of a week ago friday i am one less person on my staff that helps run the lab. so until i hire a new person i will be covering several evening shifts a week.

life is actually pretty busy right now. we had two trips this month which were both interesting and fun. we were approved to become foster parents at the animal shelter and on saturday we took in a dog from the shelter. jeff has an interview tomorrow for a new job he would like to either find something new or use a hiring offer to get promoted at his current job. i start class tomorrow and will go twice a week for the next 8 weeks. should be pretty interesting it’s a sociology class on immigration.

our new dog is much larger than bosco. her previous owner put an ad in the paper for free dog and some lady adopted her. the next day the lady was taking the dog to the shelter because the dog did not match her aura. so the dog was in shock from being adopted by crazy aura lady and then put into the shelter with all of the other abandoned dogs. so we will keep her for a few weeks and see if we can smooth the transition for her. bosco was of course very vocal about a new dog but she was a good candidate for him because she is somewhat submissive. the still have a few more days of sorting out their (his) issues before we are smooth sailing. we are hoping bosco enjoys having a companion. i’ll try and get some pics up soon.

i hope jeff finds a job that makes more use of his talents or he has the opportunity to create something like that for himself at his current job. overall i sense that he is very satisfied with his (our) life in bloomington. he has had so much work against him in life it is almost tear jerking to see him happy and confident with himself.

i have to admit that my head is not ready to start a class tomorrow. i think the class will be interesting and it is a good feeling to be working towards my degree but still it’s class and class means homework and reading. tyra no likey ready.
